As i've stated before ´73 is the ultimate prog year.

You've just had a heavy session of electroshock therapy, and you're more relaxed than you've been in weeks.

72 just slighty better than 73 - actually, 71,72,73 were imo the best years for progressive rock and rock music in general - an exciting time for prog music fans.Smile

100% agreed. I actually remember something of that era, though I was in my pre-teens. You could listen to all kinds of amazing rock music (not only prog, but a lot of that) on national radio - it seems like another century now!

Really atough choice the period from 71 through 75 was a magical time for prog and music in general. When you listen to classic rock radio listen to how much of their play list comes out of that period.

the next great period would be from 66-69.  For those too young it was a great time to be growing up.

You're talking about two of the best years of my life so I won't/can't pick one over the other.  I will say that music was magical in those years.
