A call to all GENESIS freaks!!!
I've no prejudition towards clones:I enjoy listening to them, even if they have not much to say
I was looking for GENESIS-related bands since I fell in love with Gabriel-era music.I haven't included here such bands as BABYLON,THEATRE,PLACKBAND,METAPHOR,early MARILLION or LOCANDA DELLE FATE:they have more on their own side, and some GENESIS-related stuff isn't their main hit

I enjoy THE WATCH most of all:they're the most SIMILAR and the most UNSIMILAR GENESIS-clone I EVER HEARD!!! I expressed all I feel towards them here, you may read if you're interesting:   http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=61026

I have voted for Neuschwanstein, I remember that I finally succeeded to purchase the LP in the famous Saturn record store in Cologne (Germany) early Eighties. It's a wonderful album with lush keyboards, warm twanging acoustic guitars, flowing electric guitar and some exciting breaks.
By the way, I miss the Italian Sensitiva Immagine, that's my favorite Genesis clone, it sounds like Selling England By The Pound side 3!

My vote goes for Citizen Cain - I like these guys - that's what Genesis could do actually.

Neuschwanstein - very good album. I bought recently this album reissued by Moscow MALS Records. But they released only one album, so no competition for CC.

Rael - interesting and quite enjoyable - the fact that they are from Argentina - adds some charm to their sole album.

The Watch - just received two CDR copies of 2001 and 2004 albums from friend, have not yet listened to them, so do not know.

Nightwatch - do not know yet.

In two or three weeks time I bound to receive another interesting Genesis-clone called Submarine Silence - Italian side-project of Moongarden, fully instrumental, very intriguing...

I don't consider Citizen Cain a Genesis clone,I think alot of people think they are because of the similarity in the vocals.

Citizen Cain is the best band out of those listed.

Neither do I, strictly speaking.
I think Prog-jester uses the word "clone" here in a very good sense, without all the negative meaning we usually assosiate with it.

Try out Mind Sky,K2 and Shaun Guerin's solo work if you also want to hear some singers who sound quite a bit like Gabriel

Oh yeah,I do remeber that - that was said about Serpents in Camouflage CD.Despite its non-perfect soundwork and some repetitive stuff in epics,it's very good one...
