Ello! Planning on getting my first proper synth! 
I would really prefer to have a synth a bit similar to what Neal Morse uses live, namely a Roland V-combo which has a organ part, a piano part and a synth part! Unfourtunately it seems to be out of production so any recommandations for a synth that could do basically the same stuff?

You likely will not be disappionted with the Nord. They make very good products. I don't own any - yet, but am looking at the electro 2 (Organ & E-Pianos) & the Lead 2x (Virtual Analog Synth).

That's exactly what I got at home,Erik!
 The Nord Stage seems a good polyvalent synth that can do organs,pianos and synths parts.Clavia products are very good but the Stage is very expensive right now because it's their newest product.The only downer on the Stage is the keys,they are weighted like the one on a piano so you got the right feeling when you play a piano part but can be frustrating when you play a fast synth line or an Hammond riff.But in all, it's a very good product.
Others products that you could check in the polyvalent synth field are:
The Korg Triton-This synth is quite polyvalent and capable of doing all kind of sounds and are less expensive than a Nord Stage.You should check that one.
Kurzweil K2000-K2600-Those are a little expensive but think they are the best sounding recent digital synth.The sounds are very realistic and you can do what you want with those synths.They are easily avaible on the used market(Ebay,etc.)

Yes, I was quite impressed with the Triton when I tried it at the store.That synth is a polyvalent workstation synth and you could have a wide sounds "palette".It can do organs,pianos(electric and acoustic models) and synths(analog or digital emulations) very well.Rick Wakeman use it and if you check the A'swepe signature photo,it's the grey synth on his right.In all, a good polyvalent synth.The Nord stage seem very good but the price and the weighted keys are really a turn down for me,personnally.But the idea of combining a Nord Lead synth and an Electro is quite a good one,I must admit.
The japanese band Gerard are quite nice,if I remember.I listen to the album "The Pendelum" some years ago and like them but don't know other works from them.Any recommandations,Erik?
Another japanese band that I find quite interresting are Ars Nova.These girls can play!

Well I have a Roland Fantom Xa which is the cheapest synth in the Fantom series but still excelent. Lots of classic sounding EP's, Wurlys, Organs, synth Strings, pads and mono leads plus some fantastic guitar sounds (it also has easy to use sequencer and sampler). So I would recommend one of these (or the more expensive cousins). Yeah, Nord is pretty good choice and Novation too.
I'm work with technical support to Digidesign, E-MU, Behringer and Novation. We import these and others to Brazil like Nord, Ibanez, Tama, Miditech, etc.

What's your price range? If you have a tight budget (under $2000 american) try the KorgRadias Professional Synthesizer/Vocoder for $1700. If money is not a problem, get a Mini-Moog. However, if you need a polyphonic voice, stick with the korg. -------------
