Mike Oldfield's bio is wrong.

Mistakes:
"During the next few years he also served as a studio musician at Abbey Road" - no he wasn't.

"He gradually built up a home studio and began working on a large-scale project, playing all of the parts himself" - no he hadn't a home studio then.

"state-of-the-art The Manor studio" - laughing. laughing loud.

"attracting the attention of director William Friedkin, whose use of the intro segment in "The Exorcist" generated widespread recognition (OLDFIELD was not pleased by the association, however)." - he never saw the movie

"a song called "Family Man" which became a hit" - then where's the 'Moonlight Shadow' ?

...and so on.

And albums' descriptions are stup... well, let's say, strange.

I wrote Oldfield's bio somewhen for a musical magazine, in Russian. Should I translate it? (Though it's huge.) 'Cause bio on a page is miserbale.

Do something. Please.

oh dear...

no Impressions is not a studio album. it's some compilation, look:
Disc 1 (47:45):
1. Ommadawn Part One (19:23)
2. Tubular Bells Part One live (28:22)
and - no, Airborn is not a studio album too, it's- guess what? right, it's compilation:
8. I Got Rhythm (4:40)
9. Tubular Bells, Part 1 (Live) (23:45)
10. Incantations* (Studio And Live) (19:26)
both compilations are based on 'Platinum' album with addition of singles and live performances.

Mike Oldfield IS NOT playing on 'Orchestral Tubular Bells', as I remember. It's Andy Summers or someone else, but NOT Oldfield... maybe 'minus' sign means this?

I won't read these anymore.

why don't I show the bio? mostly because it's not in English, so I got to translate it. if you really do need this, I could do it. but I'm lazy, so you should convince me. (:

about orchestral bells... sorry, that's my fault. Oldfield was not on live video performance for BBC, with Steve Hillage instead. Summers played on 'Orchestral Hergest Ridge'. I've mixed the whole thing up. should have check before posting.

I have nothing to do with updating Bios, but you did say it wasn't in English in your first post and you also offered to translate it. Obviously i misunderstood, so better to wait for a collaborator in charge of Errors and ommisions to answer this therad.
