If Music be the Food of Love.......what food is prog????
 
a few serving suggestions.......
 
ART ROCK - roast beef and yorkshire pudding with mash, curry,  and beer.
 
PROTO-PROG - fish and chips, a cup of tea with sugar laced with LSD.
 
SYMPHONIC PROG - an aperitif...followed by roast beef and yorkshire pudding with mash, curry,  with a glass of wine.
 
JAZZ ROCK FUSION - crawfish, fried chicken, jambalaya with rice and a few hot peppers, with jack
daniels.
 
PROG FOLK - lentil soup with home-baked bread, dumplings, with real ale/barley wine.
 
CANTERBURY - gruel with bread and cheese, followed by porridge, with hot mead.
 
PROG METAL - pizza built with chili peppers, curry, cheese and black pepper, with jack daniels. 
 
KRAUT ROCK - goulash soup, followed by berghof ragout, black forest gateau with 1 litre lager.
 
ELECTRONIC PROG - the one above cooked in a micro-wave.
 
INDO/RAGA - chicken tikka, vindaloo with pilau rice, with 1 gallon of indian lager.
 
...anyone got any  more recipes??

Drinks also count?

PROTO PROG - hors d'oeuvre
SYMPHONIC PROG - classic luncheon with 3 dishes and a glass of wine
KRAUTROCK - pot, LSD and German Beer
ART ROCK -  something fancy but simple, canapes maybe
PROG FOLK - tasty national dish, an apple and a cup of beer (at village inn?, villa rustica...)
JAZZ ROCK/FUSION - coctail
INDO/RAGA - tea

POP - fast food, chewing gum

Art Rock - Ice Cream
Symphonic Prog - Roast beef

Post Rock: a blue drink with Cheesecake.
Electronic prog: a purple drink uner a lot of lights.
Magma: a whole chicken, still alive, with it's own blood as drink.
Sigur Rós: Rose petals with chocolate, and milk.

more like a spaghetti with a sauce that is simple but a little heavy on the spice... just enough to give it a bit of a kick. Serve that with a beer that has a taste that is approachable, angular and unpretentious.
