Concerningly, I've NEVER seen this prog-metal band even once mentioned on this forum. I was scarcely aware of them until earlier this week, and I have to say I was astonished. These guys take elements of bands we all know like Tool, Dream Theater and even Meshuggah at times, yet blend them all together into a highly original and extremely memorable variety of darker prog-metal. Their songwriting is incredible, and while they feature moments of stunning technicality it never goes overboard and always maintains a keen sense of melody.
These guys really deserve more attention... is anybody else aware of them?

I've listened to some of their stuff a couple of months ago. And it
just didn't do it for me back then. I couldn't hear what made this band
more special than any other band that mixes progressive elements with
power-metal.
But maybe I have to give it a second chance, as I am more into prog now than I was a couple of months ago.

I liked them a bit but found them a bit dull after a while... somehow I don't hear much variety in their music.

I like them quite a bit and have Towers of Averice, A Fragile Mind, and Metamorphosis. Actually they are probably my favorite technical prog metal band behind Fates Warning. Towers of Averice is an awesome release and I find their style quite original and refreshing when compared with all the Dream Theater wannabies. I'm still picking at their newest release, A Fragile Mind. Yes, great band!!!!!!!

I got their albums awhile ago. Quite okay prog metal band, especially
Towers of Averice is good, though for some reason I have listened more
their latest Fragile Mind more (I like the harder edge of Tower of
Avarice). Metamorphosis was a bit dull.

Love them!! Especially Towers Of Avarice. I wish they hadn't lost Erik Rosvold on vocals. He had incredible power while staying within his range. Great VERY complex prog metal

I'm sorry to say that I haven't heard of this band. I am very interested in looking into them though, because by the sounds of it they sound like they are very good.
I am keen to hear them.

I have all three of their albums and I like them a lot, but I feel they can get a bit repetitive at the best of times. They're great at what they do, but they're not quite refreshing enough. Great band though.

I've only heard (and own) Metamorphosis... I'm sad to say that it didn't work for me. I gave it 1 star. That was like my third review ever so I did it just after three listens, but i remember that i couldn't remember anything of the music..... it was too chaotic and un-melodic, with no coherent structure. Soon I'll be hearing it again and maybe I'll find out I was too harsh, but maybe I wasn't. With Fates Warning i've changed my mind but I never accused them of having no coherence, it was Ray Alder's voice the barrier in my liking FW, and I went over it (actually, in Redemption the guy sounds great!); in the case of Zero Hour, it was the music, the whole package. So I guess I don't like them. But it's not a definitive position, and also, i haven't heard their latest.

Bryan...you seriously never heard any ZH until recently? You n00b
Towers of Avarice is my favorite, but the new album with the ex-vocalist from Power of Omens(I think his name is Chris Salinas),is also excellent. They blend technicality and complexity without being "showy" about it,and they always find a nice balance between heaviness and melodicism.
Now you have me wanting to listen to some Zero Hour......

I got their latest CD its a mixed bag as far as I`m concerned .. some brilliant melodicstuff on it that reminds me of fates "a pleasant shade of grey" for some strange reason ? but theres also plenty of heavy stuff too which I`m not so thrilled about , this band are great when they don`t get too heavy I believe !

Their new one grew on me quite a bit, even though their new singer is such a shameless Geoff Tate clone that I'm sometimes still a little put off. They're seriously one of the tightest bands ever... regardless of how stunningly complex they can be, their pieces never lose any kind of flow.

On my opinion Zero Hour is amazing... yet they take a lot of elements and i mean lots of elements out of Dream Theater including the style of the vocals( Even though there is no matching to James LaBrie's style) and they combined these with other elements, though they appear original they should come up with their own style so that we can differentiate them from other Dream Theater 2.0 version and enjoy them freely with lot more attention than they have right now
