Oceansize? they are a proggy band from Manchester, England who's debut album recieved KKKKK in Kerrang! and **** in Q magazines. Their debut album and ep are very spacey and ambient. They take a lot of influence from pink floyd and occasionally blend depressing acoustic (radiohead style) and hard rock into their prog pieces. Their debut album "effloresce" is full of an incredible mixutre of prog tracks, most around ten minutes. They also have some very ambient sounds that remind me very much of Godspeed You Black Emperor! does anybody else know these lot? i think they definetly belong on progarchives. i've tried to get them on here too but they are being neglected  If anyone else knows anything about them then please post here. thanx!------------- The Worthless Recluse

I know Oceansize! They are amazing and yes they are quite space/post rock but I'm not sure they are totally prog though. I did a very short review of one of their gigs here in the archives.

Never heard of them before but.... Has anyone heard of Svan from Poland? They are very prog.. and I'm sort of getting into them lately....even tho I can't understand a word they sing... ------------- THIS IS ELP
