Anybody heard any news about Fish`s soon to be released CD entitled Return to Childhood ? I hear its a return to his Misplaced Childhood (with marillion) style and it should be great , I have looked at the art work at Amazon.com and its very much like classic Fish Marillion, I only hope the music is as great . So has anybody got any news about this CD ?

I haven't heard anything about it, but if it sounds as good as it looks, I want it.

It's a double CD featuring the entire Misplaced Childhood album performed live by Fish (without Marillion).

This is not exactly an answer to you question, Age of Nemesis, but I just wanted to remind that Fish has already released a live version of Misplaced Childhood, in 2002. Fool's Company 2DVD includes Fish's band performing Misplaced Childhood in its entirety on DVD1, in addition with some other Fish-era Marillion tracks as Script for a Jester's Tear, Torch Song/Slainte Mhath,
Forgotten Sons and Fugazi. The second DVD is set of Fish's solo material performed live. The audio and video quality of this 2DVD set is good and the Marillion set fastastic! However Fish's voice has deteoriated a lot over the years, so the keys of the Marillion songs have been changed. I can't really recommend the 2CD
version of these 2 shows, Mixed Company. The audio quality is pretty horrible and the set list is slightly different, worse.
So, personally I will be interested in this new release Return to Childhood only if the audio quality is much, much better than on Mixed Company and the other songs interesting enough. Also, I've understood that there will also be a DVD version to be released later on, which might be much more worth buying.

It's high time Fish recorded new Childhood - (btw Dark Matter by IQ beats The Wake, the main Misplaced Childhood's rival) - but he could not do it without musical geniuses of Marillion - they should fire Hogarth and go back where they belong!!
