ha!! me too and I first got him into Relayer, and now he is listening to Tales. He loves em both and he is a hard core Dream Theater fan. He especially is facinated with Sound Chaser and the whole Tales album. He calls Tales more of a symphonic work.

I played one of my new favorites Harmonium's fifth season album on the way to Disneyland the other day and silence fell over the car, only at the end of a song did we stop and talk, about the music. I think I made two people interested in that album clearly.  And my dad liked that album when I played it.

Dont think I've ever made a prog fan of anyone..

Some friends like selected tracks by some artists, and recently a friend happilly sat through and really enjoyed the 'Baby Snakes' DVD by Zappa, but he is otherwise a fan of hip hop and electronica.

Yesterday's Riverside thread got me to researching some of their music. So, I
ordered Second Life Syndrome. I'm not a huge fan of dark, brooding music;
however, something about their sound intrigued me.

Looking forward to receiving this one.

I recently converted my loft......

I find that if you completely forget to mention "Prog Rock" and just describe it as "this band" then you've got a chance....
