I know I've heard rumors through the years and I thought it would be interesting to hear what others have heard too and also to see if some of these can be substantiated somehow. For me it's these:
*George Harrison was a die hard Tull fan
*Elton John's favorite album was Thick as A Brick
*John Lennon hated the Stones.
Stuff like that...

Jimmy Page called Jethro Tull Jethro Dull becuase he thought they had boring concerts.

^ All Jimmy Page did in the majority of his career with Led Zeppelin was rip-off other blues artists, so I don't really think he's in a position to criticize Jethro Tull.

Haven't heard that one. But I did hear that when Greg Lake approached Fripp to join King Crimson again, things got so heated that Lake threw him out of the limo and made Fripp walk home...

Rick Wright was addicted to cocaine during The Wall sessions, which was why Roger kicked him out. --I really doubt this one. I think it's more that he was kind of burned out after being minimalized by Roger's domineering attitude and maybe Roger wanted to show "who was really boss."

One time I heard that Roger Waters wears a pirate eyepatch while he sleeps. (Not really )

I heard that Studebaker Hawk can write The Lord's Prayer on the head of a pin.

Seriously, a few months before Zappa died, a very rich and famous computer executive was in my CD store, and insisted that Zappa was healthy & well and seen painting a house in Texas.

I´ve heard a rumor that there are no Queensryche albums on the Top 100, in fact Operation Mindcrime isn´t on the Top 120. Surely can´t be true though.

Fire up the flux capacitor ! We're taking this Delorean through all four dimensions.

What is the future of prog ? Genesis reunion ? I'm not telling! That could upset the thyme/space continuum.

I believe John Lennon liked some prog rock- he was a fan of Genesis' 'Selling England By The Pound' and Steve Hackett's guitar work in particular. I think Lennon praised Man and Deke Leonard also...

Ritchie Blackmore's favourite band was Jethro Tull, I think, and he felt the only band that held a candle to DP live in the 70s were Yes, revealing a like of prog to an extent...

There was a similar thread a few of months ago and I posted this little tidbit, but for all the newbies...

David Palmer, a former keyboard player for Tull, had a sex change operation a few years ago..

The above was well publicised in the press. Ian Anderson came up with a few faux pas after the operation had taken place though. I remember reading in Mojo that Ian said 'it took me a while to come to terms with it, but I fully support HIS decision'...He also apparently said 'it's good that people decide to do these things late in life, but it makes for one hell of an ugly woman'() in a concert, at least according to a review I read once.

I don't know where Tasarir gets his information. It is a bit skewed. Actually it was a member of N-Sync and a consortium of Scientiologists (including Tom Cruise, of course, but also John Travolta).

I was in the local supermarket today and Invisible Touch was playing with it's nauseating Collins' vocal. It is hard to believe that it was the same guys.

don't know about Tom Cruise... but Sally Oldfield was a scientologist, and her brother Mike too (but not long, about 2 years)... maybe they wrote?

I heard Freddy Mercury, Elton John, George Michael and Boy George...all gay!!! wow...what a shocker!!!

jejeje, now seriuosly...if anyone has the bonus tracks from Aqualung you would have noticed that in the interview Ian says that back in ´69 when they were touring with Led Zeppelin, Ian, without knowing, called Zeppes lyrics "not that good", but as a joke or something like that, to Plant thinking Page was the one who wrote them...Page laught, because he and Ian got along very good together...but Plant didn´t...and rumours has it Plant became such a good song writter...because of this comment!!!

But in fact that thing someone said about Page calling them Jethro Dull is not true...and if he did it was as a joke...

Keith Richards has actually been dead since 1994.  They just prop him up on stage.

When will the false rumours stop that Genesis is reforming?  Hopefully some day the rumours turn out to be true after all.

I've heard the whole album. My wife really likes it, but it doesn't really blow a breeze up my skirt.

My favourite track is "Grow Your Own Weed" (or whatever it's called).

Nah, that's Steve Howe.  Keith's been dead MUCH longer than that.
