From Greg Bendian of Mahavishnu Project

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to let you all know that MO keyboardist Jan Hammer has asked The
Mahavishnu Project to be his band for MoogFest 2006 on June 22nd at BB King's
in NYC.  Jan will receive a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Moog company
and will perform songs from his amazing body of work.  Keith Emerson will
also receive an award and perform.

This will be Jan's first American performance since the 1991 tour with Tony
Williams.  I hope you can come down and show Jan just how much he means to us
all.  I'm sure you'll agree that he truly deserves this special evening and
more.

All the best,
Gregg Bendian

I was thinking about going to Moog Fest but now I do not have to think about it anymore.

More info about the Moog Fest from Greg Bendian:
Folks,
I just want to say "thank you" to everyone that has been sending their good
wishes and congratulations (on & off list) regarding Mahavishnu Project landing
the gig with the great Jan Hammer.

All I can add is that we are working really hard to make this the best it can
be, and our goals are:

1. To show the wide range of Jan's amazing music
2. Play some fan faves
3. Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the "Oh Yeah?" disc.

If we can do this, I think the event will be a success.  Jan is going to be
playing the new Moog Voyager in addition to his usual Korg Triton.  Just added
to the bill is Jordan Rudess of Dream Theatre - with more names to come.  If
all goes well, this will be a DVD release sometime next year.

We hope to see you at BB's in June.

Sincerely,
Gregg B.
