Tough one but I voted for VDGG... Maybe I'm wrong but I think that VDGG made (and make) more for music in general than Mr. Hamill in his solo career...

This isn't a thing to disscus. ¿Where there VDGG only albums? I think not. Hammill is VDGG. And his solo albums are half VDGG albums in disguise, half something...

Not anymore, watch out for those Europeans  !

Although Peter Hammill did some great things on his solo albums, I prefer Van der Graaf Generator.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

There should have been the option "Both". That's where my vote goes.

They have different qualities, but if I have to choose... VDGG.

I think VDGG is better than Peter Hamill's solo career. I listened to some Peter Hamill songs and it seemed boring to me. Maybe I can hear more and like it but......... I don't know. I prefer VDGG.
