This band is mentioned so many times here on PA I'm just curious what you think is the best song. So many great songs, for sure I've missed some !!

My vote goes to 'Rain Song'

Zep made so much great music. 'Achilles Last Stand' and 'No Quater' would be my second and third choices respectivly.

Blacksword, I did read somewhere on PA that Rain Song is your favorite, that's why I put it in, a sure vote  .

Yep, you can count on me to jump in on any Led Zep discussion. A great band, and always a pleasure to discuss. You can also rely on me to repeat myself time and time again..

Many great songs here. I voted for Achilles Last Stand, but Kashmir, No Quarter and Stairway to Heaven are about equally good.

OK, this is written with a lot of respect towards you, but....The Rain Song as best Led Zep song !?!Is it because of the obvious prog elements or is it something else ?  Imho songs like When the Levee breaks, How many more times or Dazed and Confused have a lot more impact and are clearly more progressive then compared to what was made in the same time period. Take this provocation as a jest and nothing more. . Still hope it will spark a discussion.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tony, this poll is evil!

The choice is almost impossible - I voted for When The Levee Breaks because Robert Plant performed it so well at last year's WOMAD festival, but Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Rock and Roll, Battle of Evermore, Bron Yr Aur Stomp, Rain Song, Gallows Pole and just about everything else up to Physical Graffitti would come a close second.

You guys are going to beat me up for this but...

...I can't stand Led Zep.

*braces himself for the punches*

It seems like shallow drinking music to me, and the attitude of the band destroys any respect I can form for their music.

They passed on Woodstock '69 because they got offered a higher-paying gig. Hypocritical.

*still waiting to get struck down*

By far and away, Achilles Last Stand.

Perhaps Kashmir is their best song, but I have a special love for "Dazed and Confused". Both Page's and Plant's interpretations are so emotional.

Gallows Pole from III, although there are way too many great songs to choose just one fave.

Hey Hey What Can I Do is also very good.

Hello fellow Dutchman!

Tough question but the excellent build-up, blend of acoustic guitar, flute-mellotron, warm vocals and the exciting guitar solo on the Gibson twin-neck is decisive! But I love Babe, I'm gonna leave you (compelling bluesy atmosphere), Kashmir (great violin overdubs) and Rain Song (Mellotron!).

Led Zep should be included  !
