Guitar solo. I don't like strings all that much; it's too prevalent. Almost all the symphonies relied heavily on strings, and now a days almost anyone has at least one song that has a bit of strings. I'm tired of it. Now brass on the other hand...

I'm a guitar player so I have to go with the guitar solo.  I love the strings too and prefer to have both in an album or song.

normally a guitar solo does it for me, though I like a lot of post rock bands who use strings and don't do the big guitar solos, so it depends on my mood as well I suppose.
