I can't believe there are no dvd's of Gabriel era Genesis released. Has anyone heard of any news on this front?

It seems to be a big problem. All video materials I saw are terrible sound-wise and picture-wise. And I cannot find anything of bearable quality, which is very sad. So if anyone knows about some remastered DVDs, I would be very interested to hear about it as well.

It's only available in Europe though... and the picture quality is not very good, but if you can find it, get it!!!!

There's some people that make digital transfers of this videos, of course the only way to get this DVD's is from internet, especialy on P2P programs.

If you mail to European mailorder services like BTF (Italy) you will find in their catalogue early Genesis footage DVD like the aforementioned Genesis Live. And check out the Internet to download (Torrent) footage like Shepperton 1973. And for sure Google Search will bring you to early Genesis footage, see the adds on this site ..!

I happen to own 3 unofficial early Genesis dvd's

Shepperton '73 (very good quality for being a bootleg)

The Lamb (a lot of different bad quality clips, some interesting stuff)

and one called GMDVD03, which is a compilation of stuff from 72-75 (varies from very good quality to okay to not so good)

if you have a dvd burner you can easily obtain all of these from the Genesismuseum Yahoo group.

Who said that?

I now have 10 DVD's from early Genesis and members of the band performances. Belgian TV, Paris, Sheperton, and three more,

One DVD is from 1978 Peter Gabriel at Rockpalast (with Tonny Levin)

One DVD consist 120 min on various Hacket's performances (TV, and concert)

One DVD is from USA tour Lamb lies down on Broadway (bad picture)

One DVD is Genesis in concert with Brufford, Hacket, and another drummer, but without Gabriel

     Thanks for the information, SuppersReady!

I already have the Belgian TV gig from March 1972, the French TV gigs January 1973 (Bataclan Club)
and February 1974 (Melody -program) and the famous Tony Stratton-Smith production from
Shepperton October 1973, also the NBC Studios gig December 1973.
So I´ll go to The Genesis Museum and hopefully find more wonderful stuff!Clap
