Snow looks prettier, but in the cities it turns to mud or something like that becuse of salting the streets.

Anyway, I prefer snow. Where I am we have not had any that has settled and stayed for more than a a few days, for almost 25 years. Back then we would get a regular fall of snow every January. Now we may see a few flakes in late Feb or March, but mostly it's dry, cold and grey... ![](smileys/smiley18.gif)

I voted for rain because I hate it and this poll doesn't specify whether we have to choose what we love or hate.
(I actually don't mind rain that much)

Same here. I also despise the fact that Boston doesn't get a Spring. It goes directly from Winter to Summer.

Snow is rare in these parts so I have to go with the flakes.

I have to go with rain, I'm English, we dont get a good snow fall in the middle of England, we get a good slush that freezes over night so everyone falls on their arse the following morning when you try walking anywere.

Snow for me. It's been raining here for months, and with the constant darkness it can be a rather depressing combination. We get plenty of both around here though.

I have great memories connected to rain and snow. With rain you have storms rolling up across the ocean towards the beach and that wonderful sound! It makes me want to curl up in a blanket and go to bed. With snow you have the excellent times of playing football (the American kind, mind you!) and Christmas-time. Man, this is harder than I'd thought.

Snow.
Although, a good rain is something I enjoy. Just repeated days of this is a bit much.
Snow on the other hand...it can go for days and days and I dont mind. ![Tongue](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif)

I've lived in Norway all my life, and I haven't gotten tired of snow yet! The only problem is that the last few years have been filled with mild winters and rain. Damn those green housegasses!!

we hardly get any snow here in London, maybe a bit in January or February, a lot of rain lately. In the 60's every year was heavy snow for months, even Christmas! When it does snow it causes chaos, we're just not used to it - in 2003 we had a very heavy fall, like a fool i tried to drive home - a 7 minute journey took nearly three hours in traffic, i ended up abandoning the car and walking! the next day i took some pictures in parkland very near my home, really enjoyed that!
