Chad Wackerman

Ginger Baker

Jon Hiseman

Billy Cobham

Tony Williams

Which two musicians have the above drummers in common and under what circumstances, and also have the following drummers in common but under different circumstances:

John Marshall

Gary Husband?

And which of the two only has played with:

Ringo Starr

Charlie Watts?

Sorry, can't wait for Danbo ................................

The answer is Allan Holdsworth and Jack Bruce, who have worked together with all the drummers in the first list. Holdsworth and Bruce have worked with all the drummers in the second list but (as far as I'm aware), not together. And finally Jack Bruce only (as far as I'm aware) has also worked with the last two drummers.

Can you name the bands/and the albums?

Damn Dick, I was about to answer the Holdsworth Portion, because, though I suspected Jack Bruce, I wasn't sure.

Charlie Watts threw me. What's the connection? Alexis Korner?

Didn't jack tour with Ringo Starr as part of the all-star band?

There a strong possiblity that your suggestion is correct, but I haven't seen any hard evidence yet for that connection. There was a "mates band" Rocket 66 about 20 years ago , lead by Charlie Watts where JB played double bass and occasionally sang. I have them on vinyl - hints at where Watts has now reached as a jazz group leader. (e.g. Charlie Watts Band Live At Fulham Town Hall - gives no clues that the band is lead by a former Rolling StoneLOL)

Yeap - and I discovered his name  included in the credits of a Ringo greatest hits CD package very recently.

I was too tied up with other stuff to devote the time for searching the Watts/Bruce connection. Good question, you stumped us all.
