The tour was great and in all my time seeing this glorious band I have never heard 'And You And I ' as good as it was in Glasgow this July.Perhaps it was a mixture of good beer and good company but they were their usual incredible selves. And Velvet don't ever feel old just feel privileged.Ya auld git!

First time I saw them was on the 90125 tour. Strange feeling that I was seeing a Yes tribute band but it was a good night. I was young enough not to care too much that Steve Howe wasn't there and for all his 'one-handedness' I really like Tony Kaye as a keyboard player.

The Yes Album is one of my favourite albums too. Always reminds me of Christmas.

Looking forward to the 35th Anny DVD though....

Quick question; Do people rate Patrick Moraz?

I love Relayer.

Relayer, simply mind blowing from the tantalizing mayhem of Gates and and it's helter skelter ride through the madness and insanity of war to the absoloute peace and beauty of Soon oh Soon the Light. The short songs are able partners too.Patrick was perfect for this album I don't think Rick could have created the keyboards sounds that Moraz did for this awesome album.

can someone help me? i really want to see a live yes show between which is between 1971-1973. preferably with a similar tracklist to yessongs. i've seen lots of yes dvds and most of them seem to be fairly recent concerts. are their any classic live shows from the close to the edge era on dvd?

you may be old...er than me. but you have a great advantage of being able to see yes and prolly other classic bands before they got old and wrinkly. people like me can only get what you saw on a dvd (if we're lucky).

On Velv's message above, bear in mind though that the Yessongs DVD is not a concert, but a documentary. Well worth seeing though, with some excellent old footage, and good interviews.

I don't like "Relayer", but MORAZ's solo album "The Story Of i" is brilliant.

Great point about clothes but blessed be to God that it's them and not their attires that have written and performed musical maseratis for nigh on 4 decades.Much as I love other prog bands nobody can hold a torch to this gloriously talented band.N.B. I don't include the Rabin era in the above accolade and I don't want to regurgitate that particular argument do I?

haha! grr i really jus wanna see some great live performances of stuff like close to the edge recorded live between 71 and 73 and to see all the band doing their thing and rick dressed as a wizard going mad on the keyboards.

The concert was anounced in the Calgary Herald and I was on the phone with my credit card number before you could say Jack Robinson. About two weeks later it was anounced that the concert was cancelled and they were offering refunds. Iwas wondering why and managed to get in touch with the promoter. He told me it was due to poor ticket sales if you can believe that! He said he almost lost his shirt on ELP a few months earlier and had to comp a lot of tickets just to make it look like there were a lot of people at the show. Calgary is a Canadian city with no taste for culture and the arts. Celine Dion Will sell out instantly. Garth Brooks sold out instantly. Terri Clark sold out instantly. Calgary phew! what a hick town, what was I doing there? Anyway I'm back where I belong in Montreal. Yes just played Montreal but Ihad to be out of town on that date on business DAMN! I would like to build a time machine and go back to the first half of the seventies and just go to prog gigs and drink lots and lots of beer! I am particularily jealous of Three Fates seeing that 1974 show. That must have been Relayer. Nice Photos Velv.
