The Spanish/French/Russian polls gave me the idea.

Unfortunately, some of the best Hungarian bands are more well-known abroad than here. After Crying(my choice) and Solaris for instance.

Korai Orom not on this list?

That was my choice

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

^ Sorry about  leaving out Korai Öröm(Early Joy?), I was a bit lazy and not very concentrated...

And again Iron Curtain did its job - too little we know and choice is very limited.

After Crying is one my favourite bands world-wide. Absolutely great!!!!

Omega - good, more hard rock-art rock band, played enormous role in development of rock-music in general on Soviet territories.

Solaris - very good - I have only Marsian Cronicles and like it very much.

I voted for OMEGA.

They are not so complex as, for instance, AFTER CRYING, but no one can beat OMEGA in writing beautiful melodies.

My vote goes to SOLARIS; "Marsbeli Kronikak" is a fantastic symphonic prog album!!!

Solaris is my favorite band, I have all their studio albums and the exciting live set from Los Angeles, what a great interplay between flute, guitar and keyboards and what a dynamic music!

I have seen After Crying one time (16 spectators ...), very impressive and although there were so few people they gave their best, a very unique blend of classical, King Crimson and some ELP and Zappa.

Omega Live At The Kiss stadium is a splendid registration, what an enthousiastic band, I love the typical Eastern European melancholical climates.

They are not in the Archives, I have only some later, popular minded songs by them and I'm not really impressed by them.

Syrius could be a better addition although they had only one album.
