Not so much during the winter months. But during the spring/summer/early fall, I do a lot of Mountain Biking.

I can also work up quite a sweat playing air guitar/bass/drums/keybaords/whatever while listening to my CD's.

Not much anymore.

I played drums from a young age, played football, lacrosse and baseball till I graduated H.S. and was in in the infantry in the Army for almost 10 years.

I have exercised enough.

A few times a week running with my Border Collie in the forest, dunes and beach (near Scheveningen, The Hague) and at least one time a week I do my training for semi-marathons (like the annual City-Pier-City run in The Hague). And every year we go for our holiday to Aruba (my wife was born and raised there), there I love swimming, snorkling and walking on the beach (very romantic  ).

May I give you a tip..?

Dont do it every day. Three times a week should be enough. Leave at least a day between push ups to let your muscles rebuild, or you may not see much benefit. Also, do some cardio (running, swimming, cycling etc) this will help increase the definition of any muscle mass you do gain.

Take it from me, I'm a fitness instructor in a smokers body...

Holy crap, do I exercise! I'm in cross country and track! I run 6-8 miles 4-5 days out of the week, and the remaining days I do intense short distance workouts.

I'm not very good in cross country, but I'm getting decent in track. I have potential, and I've been working really hard, so I'm very close to doing well in track (like actually making it to regions).

I run the 400 in a 55 and my fastest 800 time is 2:13 (although I know I can do a 2:08). I can run the mile in 5:08, and my 5K best time is 19:33.

From my assumption of you age, these are quite good times; though I'm not overly familiar with the standards in America. It has been a bit of time since I have done anything shorter than 5K. But, yes, I am thinking with a 55 the 2:08 should not be too far away Smile

I go to the gym about 3 times a week, where I lift weights and ride one of them bicycles or run the treadmill etc. It takes some effort getting out of the couch and walk to the gym, but when I get there, I do enjoy the excercise very much.

I keep in shape - it's just a rather odd shape, that's all... just how many calories are burnt every time I roll a cigarette, anyway? Or lift a pint of beer?

Seriously, though, I'd like to try to get fitter than I am; which is not to say I'm at death's door, I'd just like to be fitter...

Discipline is all - the only reason I'm not fitter is that I am a lazy git! There - I've said it - now, if there are any young female personal trainers out there (preferably with naturist tendencies...) who'd like to take my case, please write to the usual address.
