I´m not sure if Monolith and Audiovisions should be there, but it will make for a more interesting poll. I went with Leftoverture. It was a very difficult decision!

I went Song for America but Leftoverture , Masque Kansas and Point of Know Return were all a very close second , I love the band !

The debut for me

But as far as Classic Kansas is concerned and IMHO, you should be stopping as soon as Leftoverture (included)

or at worst at the Two for the show live album

Monolith is definitely not prog and rather boring (but superb artwork, though) and Audiovision much even less prog

-------------
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Actually I would like to agree with you about Monolith not being prog but I can`t sorry, there are many progressive moments on Monolith maybe because I`m a drummer and I like to practice by drumming along with CD`s I can pick up complex time signatures that go beyond conventional 4/4 which Monolith does and also the musical arrangements on Monolith also go beyond standard rock artists arrangements, Monolith is a progressive CD without any questions about it in my opinion, maybe we can agree to disagree on this issue

i like the mixture of song for america. The title is clever also because who would of guessed prog out of the grainbelt like awesome food for america`s lagging prog scene.

this was a hard one..anyway I went for Masque since it hasn't got a vote but I like 'em all..yeah Monolith and Audiovisions are less and less prog but both albums had great tracks and are part of that great first line up..
