I don't consider Queensryche a prog metal band at all,but Tate is incredible.

Out of your choices I will pick Russell Allen.

But Maynard James Keenan is my favorite prog metal vocalist.

Out of that list, I would say Labrie, closely followed by Allen and Tate.

Geoff Tate by far ... his voice has both power and emotion while Labrie sounds as a little girl ... ;-)

Russel Allen is Da MAN!

oh man, La Brie better than the other two ?  who votes here ?

he is the 'weakest link' in DT , although he is fairly good

anyway for me Tate, Allen, La Brie

Russell Allen, then Geoff Tate and LaBrie...well...he's shattered on the ground.

I personally dont understand what people see in LaBrie his voice is rather irritating. When I buy a dream theater album, its dispite the fact that he sings. He brings down the band so much. If it werent for Labrie, Dream Theater could be the best band of all time

LaBrie, I'm not familiar with the others.... Gildenlow is by far the best of the best.

Not too familiar with Russell Allen but Geoff Tate is by far the best out of the three in this poll. He has one of the most powerful and emotional voices in Prog Metal.

Chad Grey when he doesn't just do the death scream bit is pretty good. I saw Mudvayne live recently and not knowing anything about them was really impressed. They rock.

I dont know the other 2 so La Brie gets my vote but really Maynard is the man.

Obviously Geoff Tate. I'd also like to mention Bruce Dickinson, though many don't consider Maiden to be prog-metal.

Definately James LaBrie.  I don't like the bad reputation he has.  It seems among most fans of Dream Theater, they all consider him to be a great vocalist.  Personally I think his power, range, sustain, and enunciation are among the best.  Daniel Gildenlow, Erik Rosvald, Fred Marshall, Geof Tate, and Mike Baker are all other great Progressive Metal vocalist I would put in the same class as James LaBrie.

Damn, I will not vote because it would be unfair to the other two guys. Please help this poor little green man: who are Tate and Allen? Please, don be mad!

And hhey! Watchit gentleman! There are people out here that worship LaBrie's voice! Don't be saying mean things like he sings like a little girl! It is true I'm a newbie, though I should know better, but don't throw tomatoes to my guy!

The definative prog-metal vocalist

Since I cannot vote for the mind-blowing Maynard from Tool, or the whisper-to-a-growl Mikael from Opeth, I boycott!!!

I do like LaBrie and Tate to a certain extent.
