All these songs are classics, though choice.

Anyway, i voted for "Break On Through"

Yes, Peace Frog (by the way, great guitar riff!), I LOVE THE DOORS  but my favorite song is not on the list, it's Spanish Caravan because of the flamenco guitar intro ( a 'granadinas') and the sultry atmosphere, one of the best vocal performances by the late Jim Morrison!

Actually, I forgot to put my second favourite on the list, Hyacinth House and Spanish Caravan too. Crap.

Mine is also When The Music's Over

The Doors have more memories for me than most prog bands put together ... it's just one of those things ...

The other songs in my Top 10 that aren't here are Waiting For The Sun and Not To Touch The Earth ...

I'm infamous among my former bandmates (in a few different bands) for belting out and playing keys on a version of Roadhouse Blues ...

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Hard choice...

"When The Music's Over" is the most prog, IMO.
But Morrisson hotel album is maybe my fav, with pieces such as "Piece frog".

I love Riders On The Storm.

The intro is one of the most spine chilling intros I've ever heard! The sound of rain, the simple but effective bass riff, the magnificent keyboard solo, and then the song itself, with the simple but brilliant melody line and highly imaginative lyrics!

L.A. Woman

'Mr. Mojo Risin' as an anagram for Jim Morrison, very cool!

ps: I always thought of The Doors as some sort of progband. And I will always will defend that opinion whenever I get the chance.

*Blend of blues, jazz, rock and many more styles

*Totally unique sound

*Highly theatrical band(especially Morrison of course)

*Many conceptual songs

I think of the Doors as a band who broke all the rules. Well to me that is progressive!

The Doors in Progarchives!

every time i listen to the part that says "Mr Mojo Risin" it makes me laugh for some reason. It's like he spelled his name wrong.
