I have 2 VdGG CDs and plan on buying several more (Godbluff, Still Life, World Record, Present, The Least we can do...)  I was wondering If I should buy the Remastered versions (which I have of H to He and Pawn Hearts) is it worth paying extra for or should I just go with used originals?

Go for the remasters.
The sound quality is superb.I have been listening to VdGG/Vdg/Hammill for more than 30 years and when I bought the remasters I heard bits that had previously been buried in the original mix.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

thanks, Will I be missing any good songs that aren't on the originals as well?
i.e. Squid 1 - Squid 2 - Octopus on H to He or Theme 1 on Pawn Hearts.
What significantly superb tracks are lost?

Some of the extra tracks are a bit on the surplus to requirement side but, like a lot of bonus tracks,if they weren't on the original album...but they are nice to have but I feel that they spoilt the flow of the albums even tacked to the end. What I will ascertain is that it is the quality that is the main thing.
If you haven't already got it,buy The Box.This has all the previously unreleased tracks and live versions that anyone should require.

The new remasters ofcourse, beter sound, beter looks, nice pictures, bonus tracks... they are very well worth the money. I must say im very lucky, i started to lisen to VDGG yust some weeks after the new remastered editions came out, so i never hade to lisen to the old probobly crapy sounding CD's, they are now one of my favorite bands, i gues you ither love em too death or hate em to death

Not a bad band?  OUCH !! They are great !!! I can't think of a lot of bands that are better. The album "H to He, who am the only one" is one of my all time favourites.

(but everybody is entitled to their own opinion of course)
