I can't get enough of this group. Which album do you think represents their best work...

I love LE ORME and all their albums. Often compared to ELP, they have their own (wonderful) sound, with keyboards and vocals in evidence.

  • COLLAGE is their first prog album; 4,5/5stars
  • UOMO DI PEZZA is their most successful album; i love it, 5/5
  • FELONA E SORONA is their proggier album, a masterpiece, 5/5
  • CONTRAPPUNTI is also excellent, really progressive; 4,5/5
  • SMOGMAGICA is good but less progressive:3/5
  • VERITA' NASCOSTE: 3,5/5
  • STORIA O LEGGENDA: 4,5/5 , it's really good
  • FLORIAN: 4,5/5
  • IL FIUME - 4/5
  • ELEMENTI - 4,5/5
  • L'INFINITO - 4,5/5

I haven't voted yet.... because I can't decide hahahha between Uomo Di Pezza and Felona E Sorona.  I just love those albums, with Collage just behind.  Have Contrappunti on order, awaiting that anxiously.

Once I ordered a 2-CD from Le Orme entitled Live Orme, it's their Contrappunti tour, excellent! See my review on this site.

I voted for "Uomo di pezza", but I love many LE ORME albums as well:

"Felona e Sorona", "Collage", "Contrappunti" are excellent albums;

their latest (to date) "L'infinito" is one of my favs ever;

"Florian" and "Piccola rapsodia dell'ape" are great examples of other, acoustic, side of the band.

I've REALLY gotta hear more of this group.  I've only heard a bit of Felona.

UOMO DI PEZZA is my all-time favourite progressive album.

Well, they fit under the following cathegory: "ELP RELATED". They do have their own sound, but they also choose to use ELP's instead... as so many others (take that, TRIUMVIRAT).

Since the "Florian" (1979) album ELP influences reduced to a minimum.
