I have thought long and hard about this but in my opinion Rush invented Prog Metal , sure their were other heavy bands around at the time but I think Rush were the ones to first ever be truly progressive and combined that with heavy metal. What do you think did Rush invent Prog Metal ? |

Very doubtful, and I don't think so. Anyway, if a band invented prog metal, it was High Tide, and they were a little before Rush. I recommend listening to "Sea Shanties" and the self-titled 2nd album, both from 1969. In my opinion the first prog-metal albums.

IT's sure that Dream Theater and many other bands take their roots in Rush music... But I don't Think that was the creator of prog metal beacause their sound are a litle bit too pop for that. ------------- La cuisine c,est comme l,amour, il faut y croire pour que ca marche |
