Thank you

The Ladder is a great addition to the Yes collection. Get Magnification and the Ladder. Nine voices is great as it reminds me of "To the runner' off of Olias of Sunhillow (Which by the way is a must if ye have not got it! Jon Anderson's cosmic masterpiece of symphonic space rock captures the spirit of the starship trooper) Homeward is the best prog epic they had written in years! i have been listening to Yes since 73, my favorites are Close to the edge and tales, oh and of course Olias!! great late night with the headphones!!

Though I wasn't really fond of "yes" latter years, "The Ladder" is a very good album (and well-crafted and produced). "Magnification" and "open your eyes" is crappy at most times.

House of Yes is a GREAT live video... recommend it to all Yes fans.

Do you have Drama? Fabulous album. I would avoid anything else from the 1980's. Magnification is a great album - the band and orchestra really gel together in the most successful pairing in progressive rock. At times quite commercial, but always relevent and melodic. I have heard good reports of The Ladder but have not heard it myself. Keystudio is a great album - a little too 'studio technique' perhaps, but some classic Yes moments. And with Rick Wakeman of course!

Buy "Magnification", it's the best album in your list. If you still have some spare money, 'HOUSE OF YES" is a good choice for a live album... "Roundabout"'s bluesy coda is definitely worth of listening.

Talk is a good album, particularly for "I am waiting", which is my favourite Rabin-era song, and "Endless dream".

Thank you all. I have things clearer now.

PS: I do have "Drama" and "Keys to Ascension I & II" and I think they are very good albums

None of the albums you mention are worth more than 3 stars (in anycase, avoid Close Your Ears) but if you must own just one of those albums, go for Magnification - maybe that one is worth another halstar.

The Ladder is just not that good

keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

90125 and Magnification are excellent albums, I love Magnification, the songs are so strong and the orchestra adds such wonderful decoration.

90125 isn't as much a PROGRESSIVE album, but it's still excellent. Just because it doesn't have the progressive tag doesn't mean it can't be good!

That's all i've heard from that list but i'm in the same situation as you, I need to finish my collection
