Best epic, I define Epic as a song over 15 minuets long.
I picked Supper's Ready, just brilliant

As always, I choose the epic that I loved over thirty years ago - Supper's Ready. But if the question was which band are the Kings of the epics, I would have to choose - The Flower Kings. I love all their epics, and they have had more even than Yes. (although I love theirs too!)

Atom Heart Mother, since The Ritual is not up there.

Zarathrustra... shame it isn't an option.

since it isn't Gates of Delirium... the true king of epics.  None of the those options come close to it IMO of course.. .when talking in an 'epic' context.

Close To The Edge in my opinion is the most well composed rock song ever.

Gates of Delirium live is incomparable. in-- var SymRealOnLoad; var SymRealOnUnload; function SymOnUnload() { window.open = SymWinOpen; if(SymRealOnUnload != null) SymRealOnUnload(); } function SymOnLoad() { if(SymRealOnLoad != null) SymRealOnLoad(); window.open = SymRealWinOpen; SymRealOnUnload = window.onunload; window.onunload = SymOnUnload; } SymRealOnLoad = window.onload; window.onload = SymOnLoad; //-->

hey everybody.  I just registered here.  ANyway, I voted for Dogs because it's awesome and it has... NO VOTES?!  anyway,  I like Gates of Delirium and Thick as a Brick a lot too, maybe more than Dogs, but anyway.  These are all great songs, except (IMO) Lizard, I can't really get into it, and Atom Heart Mother, which I have never heard.

Eruption by Focus (side 2 of Moving Waves) or their Hamburger Concerto. Or Nine Feet Underground by Caravan. Or Echoes by Floyd. Or Midnight Mushrumps by Gryphon. All better than most tracks on the list.

Of those on it, I pick Suppers Ready.

I'll take Supper's Ready.  I would rather have seen Tarkus up there.  I believe it's worthy of taking a spot alongside such other great Progressive epics.

Magma - Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh

(on the original album, it's split up into several "songs", but it is really one piece, as shown by the other releases on which it appears)
