I think the differences are so small as to be generally unimportant...It is all good to me.

I agree, any differences are so small no one could possibley notice.  although cds are obviously very good quaity cause they last longer.

Yes you're right, among the differents CD versions, the 1994 one is the best.

The 30th CD/SACD version is really POOR

The best I've heard was the 1980's Japanese vinyl pressing. Remember them? The acetates were cut at half speed or something, making the  resulting vinyl disks sound extremely pure. The Jap press of "The Wall" beats any CD I've ever heard for audio dynamics.

Oh, it sounds nice

But, be aware than from about 1983, most pressing vynils were numeric.
Moreover, it was the beggining of this poor technology, and it was very bad.

But maybe the pressings you've heard were still analogical.

Anyway, japanese often made very good records in general ( vynil and CD)

I went for the vinyl version, even though mine is worn beyond salvation.

The making of DVD is excellent, but it's not an alternative version like the other options.

Not one of the re-releases sounds as good as the original First press - although the Half-Speed remaster is very impressive. I don't believe that the actual mixes were touched for that one - they just played the master tape and set the recording unit to half speed.

However, the best version I've ever heard hasn't been released... an engineer friend of mine got the job of transporting the masters from one studio to another, and dropped in at the studio we worked in to "just check it sounded OK"... You cannot beat the sound of the original 2" reel to reel....

I have a first pressing, but it is Argentinian, I don't know if that makes it worse from an English or American one.

Vinyl.

The remastered version is too "hissy" for me.

Well, if one would seek quality, one would choose the 1994 remater.
Although the vinyl would add a huge emotional (not mentioning material) value to the whole thing but a trained ear won't let the experience reach maximum.
I can't imagine listening to the opening heartbeats with an ultra-annoying cracking.

I do not have a vinyl, but I love to get my hands on one... and besides, I enjoy vinyl more than CDS (altough, they aren't portable)

I remember I first heard Dark Side of the Moon on vinyl, and I loved it.  Then when I got it on CD, it took me a long time to get back into the album.  I haven't revisited the vinyl, so I should do that soon.
