Hello all! I'm kinda new to prog rock after listening to metal for the longest time and then getting into prog-rock from there. Opeth => Porcupine Tree and from there on. I still love metal and seem to appreciate prog-metal a little more than a lot of prog-rock but I'm mostly here to learn and whatnot. I'm happy to become part of the community. Here is a list of some of the bands that I enjoy (taken from this site so if you don't think some of these are progressive, argue with them :P): Agalloch Anathema Arcturus Ayreon Borknagar Circus Maximus Edge of Sanity Kamelot Nightwish Opeth Dan Swano Symphony X The Devin Townsend band Ulver Also: Camel Katatonia King Crimson Mr Bungle Pink Floyd Porcupine Tree There you have it.
