Hello, my name is Carlos and after a time to know this site finally I register me like user, by my badly english but now that I have learned more I give me the opportunity to enter the community (and with a litle help of Babel Fish, jeje).

I have 19 years old and Im from Mexico, from the north of the country (regiomontano) and i like most of the prog music that i have listened (i don`t like very much the prog of the 80's, some Neo Prog and King Crimson).

Im studying Graphic Design in the University and i I discovered the prog rock 2 years ago, and my life change, I can't pass a day without prog.

mmm, Babel Fish isn't that good as I thought but I made the try.

welcome Carlos..don't worry about your "bad english" (reminds me of an 80s band that was really bad)..
I understood everything you wrote..
there's lots of people who can help if you want to listen to something new..which are your favorite bands?

Tanks.

Well, I been heard a lot of the 70's big bands like Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, PFM, etc some new bands like Porcupine, Mars Volta, etc, almost all of Dream Theater albums, some other prog metal bands and a litle of Neo Prog on internet radio's and this site and a few bands from latinoamerica (my favorite is Cabezas de Cera from México, excelent music ).

I don't have a favorite band, but I like almost all the bands I have the oportunity to be listened, and recently  I start to try to listen some Jazz.

I hope to adquire more habilty for speak english much better, I understand almost all of i read in the forum, but Im not very good to writing and speaking, the words do not come very easily.

I want to heard more prog that is more dificult to find, someting very new for me, bands from other countries, etc.

By the way, i have 2 cuestions:

1. What it means the word IMO?
2. How many costumes have been use Peter Gabriel in the concerts with Genesis? I have been only see the ones that he use in the DVD of 1973.

welcome carlos! as you already found out you really do not need much English to enjoy this site. Pero Por otro lado, se Recomienda mejoras tu inglés .   BTW (which means "by the way") IMO is an abrieviation for "In My Opinion". you might also see IMHO which means the same thing. Us americans / english speakers around the world LOVE to abrieviate things as much as possible  so it might get confusing. ENJOY THE ARCHIVES!

hi..about Gabriel I think most of the costumes and masks he wore are in that DVD..except perhaps from the fox mask with a lady dress for "The Musical Box" and
the ones he used for The Lamb's show..I've seen just pictures and bits of clips from bootlegs and doccumentaries..the black leather, a white ballet outfit and that funny and awful monster disguise
