Pretty muchthe same shows as the Rush In RIO DVD; early Rush material is nowin meddlmeys a bit like Genesis did with their Gabriel years material in the 80's and the songs are not sung anymore; Claerly Geddy Lee cannot reach those high notes anymore.

On the second DVD are early concert footage (some atrocious sounding) from the first album (but with Peart on drums), but much better are the late 70's concert footage/videoclips of classic tracks such as Xanadu, Closer To The Heart and La Villa Strangiato. OUTSTANDING.

Then come a fexw video clips and stuff from Waves and Pistures album.

Just for these extras I would suggest R30 over Rush In RIO.

Just watched it last night- perhaps you should get some better speakers, it sounded decent to me!

I too spent yesterday looking for the Easter eggs.Where are they indeed?

R30 sounds quite good but it is true that geddy is struggling with the high stuff. Also there seemed to be a bit of backing tape stuff going on such as in Earthshine where the oohhh ooohhh section is clearly not sung live.

the shortened version of 2112 lifts the show and is a sample of what might have been. Maybe Rush will do a yes style masterworks tour and play the classics

2112, Xanadu, Hemispheres, Bastille Day, Trees, Closer to the heart, La Villa, A farewell to kings, Spirit of radio, Natural science, the Pass, Earthshine, Subdivisions, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Limelight , Bangkok, Finding my way  what a show that would be.

I also love one of the 80's interviews when the band were asked what other bands they would watch and Geddy lee said i'd see Yes in  a second almost before the guy finished his sentence. He  was also raving about BILL brufords Earthworks hailing Bill as the master.

Imagine a double bill of Yes and Rush! Maybe a festival with those two headlining , awesome.

To me Rush and Yes are like  Real Madrid and Manchester United , sustained top quality, whereas the likes of Porcupine Tree are like Lazio or Leeds or Kaiserslautern, a bit of  a yo yo band, occasionally hitting great heights but unable to sustain it.

So back to the question....Where are those eggs?

Hey Drew, I think he's probably talking about the 2 tracks that were recorded by fans from a nightclub. As a fan,I'd rather have them then not. Aside from that, some people don't like the DW Drums. I think it's a fantastic package.Sounds good to meWord Up.
