Ok I am aware of the "The meanfiddler-borderline-astoria"  group of venues

are there any other venues in southern UK or London for prog or heavy metal/rock concerts?

there are many people here from the UK so I thought I should ask for info.......

thanks in advance

I saw Greg Lake at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford last year. I don't know how many other bands (of any genre) play there but it's worth checking out. He also played the Cliffs in Southend

Steve Hackett played Barking Town Hall last year or the year before.

I don't think there are any "prog" venues as such. You should check out Blacksword's thread about prog gigs in 2006, that should give you a few ideas.

ok, what about metal/rock venues?

are there any, apart from meanfiddler-borderline-astoria?

I hope I'm not becoming annoying.......

No problem.
I must admit I'm not that well up on gigs these days, I don't go to as many as I used to.
Jethro Tull are playing at the Shepherds Bush Empire in March.
