Personally, I think that Bohemian Rhapsody is much better than Stairway To Heaven.

Though I'm much more of a Zep fan, I voted for "Bohemian Rhapsody." A much more interesting song, in my opinion.

Your gona kill me for saying this but IMO Bohemian Rhapsody is an attemp to make a very interesting and strange song of a very high level.... I dont think they succeeded..... Its sounds a bit fake to me if you understand what I mean.... Somewhere, dont remember at the moment where, it was voted as the song of the century.... I mean what the hell where they thinking ???? -------------

Both songs are extremely overplayed and overrated. At first, Stairway seemed like the more annoying of the two, but the gayness of the Queen track makes it less respectable and more foolish. Bohemian Tragedy gets the vote for being the worse of the two.

Hard to choose, the songs are good But I stay with Bohemian because the guitar intro of Stairway was nearly copied from a Spirit song from their first album(1968), named Taurus. |

You nailed it Norbert...the question that's been sitting in my head for a long long time. I vote 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - the perfect song...it has it all. 'Stairway to Heaven' is also great but at some time it gets dull. |

I can't agree more. For God's sake what in hell have in common a wonderfull and pompous operatic stravaganza with a solid and complex epic Power Ballad? Compare Stairway to Heaven with July Morning or Bohemian Rhapsody with ???? (It can't be compared, there are few things as weird as this song). Iván

Because there's something called taste, that is unoique in every person. For a Queen fan Bohemian Rhapsody would be the best song ever, a Led Zeppelin fan will find Stairway to Heaven better. But the point is how can you compare two songs that have nothing in common. Who do you like more:

I personally prefer Stairway... It's probably been over a decade since I've listened to either, though. Both bands have done far better songs than these IMO. ------------- Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy! |
