Well... hoorah! An article of mine on the glorious anti-genre has been included on the latest update at progressiveworld.net! Take a look, sirs and madams and tell me what you think!

What an incredibly moving story, Trouserpress. Well done too!

I particularly like your analogy about the crossroads (rock, classical, folk and jazz). And also the bit about "Tarkus" topping the charts 33 years ago and what it would do nowadays, if it just came out.

Good article and I hope it won't be your last!

Ciao  !

Lise

Thank you all very much for your kind words! I'll probably get round to writing another article at some point, but what with being back at college, writing and filming a pilot sketch show for a competition, a solo theatre project and all manner of other odds and ends... it could be a while.

There are a few subjects I'd like to take a look at - "pretentiousness for the sake of it", Canterbury, the Italians, why I can't stand Genesis, etc. I could maybe even have a crack at discussing where to draw the line with prog. And perhaps something in honour of Gentle Giant... Hmm...

Anyway, thanks once again!
