I remember in particular a dream I make often:

I'm in a great green ocean, followed by a nurse with a cricket bat in hand, so I'll try to escape on my science fiction "runcinante" Cygnus X-1....but it's too late....and I fall deep into this scene from a memory......and I cry a jester's tear!

As a kid: very often.

Nowadays: almost never. I'm quite surprised about that!

My dreams are twisted beyond all meaningful interpretation, and I can often remember them in quite fine detail.

A while I had two dreams about ProgArchives, two nights in a row Then I had to realize that those posts weren't real and even was a bit confused about what was actually posted and what was posted only in my dreams Somehow I don't remember anything from them now

I just had a long msn conversation with someone on the topic of dreams, this being my description of last night's dream:

I had an episode in my series of recurring dreams where there was a war going on. There were real people, there were soldiers, and there were lost souls/ghosts. The real people had souls and were in colour, the soldiers had no souls, and were in black and white, and the ghosts were see-through black and white. The setting was slightly faded colour. When the war was going on, there were the ghosts everywhere and the soldiers didn't know they were there and they were shooting them while they were shooting the enemy, which was this colourful utopia, and the ghosts became murderous whn the soldiers were shooting. There was blood dripping from the air, sort of seeping out of it, from the ghosts being stabbed and shot. There was a feeling of apocalypse/ death/ end of the world, and the normal human beings were frightened because we knew that once the ghosts started to attack they would kill us slowly and painfully through some method such as their destructed lost souls forming poison gas clouds. And it was like the air was bleeding.

As you can see, I have disturbing dreams. And that wasn't even a bad, demented one, or one that particularly disturbed me. That was the normal dream that I have all the time.

Sometimes I remember, usually not. Some are weird. I often remember when I had a deja vu in my dream.

I constantly have this dream when my mother yells a for a ridiculous reason then summons this alien that jumps out of the closet and runs at me at an incredible speed and kills me upon impact. I wake up and freak out, and I start trembleing in fear, too afraid to move. The alien is the stereotypical grey, with the scary big eyes. Whenever I see a picture of one a surge of incredible fear runs through me. I don't know what to think of these dreams. I have been having them for years and they really disturb me.

Another one of my dreams:

One year I was going back to school after summer vacation. When I was walking there it was very quiet around, and there were no people or cars, it was sort of like the entire population of the city had been erased. I had normal clothes on, but as soon as I got in the building my clothes had gone grey, but they had a quality to them like when you watch old black and white movies on a colour TV.  I went into the gym after someone ran past me, looked at me, and uttered something in this weird, nasal, jumbled language, and then turned into some sort of pinkish animal that seemed to be made of clay, with elongated legs and arms, and a distored face. In the gym there were 6 or 7 people standing in a circle and I went and joined the circle. The people in the circle had no faces, but sort of shadows where their eyes should be, and invisible frowns, and they wore grey sweaters with brown shirts underneath and brown pants. They started to talk one at a time, but it was in this sort of whispering, incomprehensible language that really bothered me. There was a boa constrictor that slithered through the gym that I noticed that sort of had a greyish-green colour, and I saw it from a different angle.
