Nope, you didn't screw it, your list is pretty good and for different prog tastes, the fact is that there are so many epics in Prog' that we would need 100 slots.

For eample, I'm sure nobody would include All the Seats were Occupied in any poll.

Keep on Proggin!!!!!

Ok man, if you want the lions to eat you, I can't do anything.

There will always be an epic you forget, in my personal list for example I forgot any epivc by Rick Wakeman or Triumvirat.

The list of epics should be much longer than the proposed one for vote. But another story.

I have some perplexities, but I think in the end I'm going to vote for Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick. Mostly because it 45 minutes so very hard challenge not to make the listener fall asleep in the long run, but Tull can keep a high level all the way through.

And the beginning is fantastic... Really don't mind if you sit this one out. They couldn't have been clearer!

But let's start a poll in the poll: let's name the WORST epic ever written.

My vote goes to Ghostship by Shadow Gallery - that's a 40-feet container full of s**t.

Let me know your ideas...

Ciao,

I really don't like Shadow gallery...and yes that "epic" (which is hardly epic at all in my opinion) manages to make me wanna hide in my closet like an emo b*****d...and to Iván:

Haha, i know I forgot epics, ibut oh well, consider the list thourough ebough, I'm sure everyone can find an epic they like somewhere on there...if not then don't vote--there is an "other" option...Yeah, by the way this is my first poll so I figured it would suck... oh well, thank you for voting anyways.

Supper's Ready. Shine On isn't that epic. It's long, but it's more graceful
and smoothe.

Flight - Peter Hammill, doesn't get mentioned often but is an epic.

i initially liked Close to the Edge a LOT, but after Supper's Ready sank in......

Supper's Ready.

initially i liked Yes a LOT, and didn't like Genesis much at all. Now i like both a lot, but i'm starting to prefer Genesis. Supper's Ready is so great. everyone in the band is fantastic, and the song feels less repetitive to me then close to the edge. im simply in the mood for it more.

Close to the Edge.

But I think several people, like memowakeman, will have wanted to vote for Gates of Delirium.
