| I think it's Schism, it has an extremely odd time signature (which I don't particulary care for, but it's a plus), great lyrics, and that mellow part around the 4:50 that is just awesome. |

I'm a fan of the title track just for its sheer complexity and beatiful brilliance. all the math thats incorporated (i.e. fibonnacci sequences) is a pretty amazing accomplishment.

I love the whole album but if I have to pick will say Parabol/Parabola. Incidently those people who own this album what is your copy called Lateralis or Lateralus? I have an early release that has a typo on the outer sleeve calling the album Lateralis! |

The whole album is amazing but my favourite part is when they play Parabol then it goes wham straight into that massive riff of Parabola, its brilliant and such a powerful song, gets me everytime i hear it.

That would be The Grudge! and that would be my SECOND favorite song....as now i'm growing in love with quieter "damnation" songs (this is coming from an avid Opeth fan hehe). I do too,the title track on my cd is listed as Lateralis.That was a typo that only the first 100,000 copies have.So hold onto it. ------------- |

Yeah, like some of you, I like The Grudge too. I just love how they save the high-hats until half way through the song - it has such a strong effect 
And I also like how they do that speeding up bit with the double-kick
drum that then perfectly builds into silence with impeccable timing

Ticks & Leeches. The whole album is great though, even if it's inferior to "Ænima". Favourite Tool song overall for me is Third Eye, I guess. Or maybe Push*t. Or Ænima. Or Part of Me. Or the cover version of No Quarter. Or Bottom, with the guest appearance of Henry Rollins. Or..... ------------- With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince. Definitely Parabol/Parabola here. The Grudge is a close second. My
drummer almost had an aneurism when he heard that kick drum part!

Probably Schism (The mellow part and Maynard's vocals in it always give me shivers) Followed quite closely with the Patient! Why didn't nobody mention it?!
