HI, EVERYONE.

Good news for prog fans residing in Lima, especially those who enjoy good jazz rock music.

Bass maestro BILLY SHEEHAN will come to Lima and do a bass clinic in the Convention Center of Maria Angola Hotel on December, 8th, at 6 pm. The event will be sponsored by Yamaha and Music Market.
Ticket prices: 10 $ (Preferential)
                     5 $  (General Public)
Tickets on sale in Music Market, Av. Benavides, 347.

What else can I say about a real master musician, who showed his skills as session musician for Steve Vai and several prog albums in the 90s, as well as a Mr. Big member, let alone a solo career in jazz rock,  and last but not least,  in jazz-fusion super-group Niacin, one of the best instrumental combos around nowadays.

   See you there!!

^ not only a session musician for Vai, but permanent member of "The Breed" (The Steve Vai Band).

Probably will get cancelled due to lack of interest Cesar, you and I know how the market works in our beloved country, Steve Hackett was announced in the same Convention Center, I bought my first row tickets (90 bucks) with Stage Pass but 24 hours before, they told us he had cancelled.

Meanwhile Ricky Martin was doing a concert for 15,000 souls, some paying even 200 bucks

In this country some prog or other genre acts have success only if you'rereally well known, when Yes came I was offered 600 bucks for my US$ 120.00 tickett at the door, they had to make almost 5,000 standing places after the tickets were sold,

Wakeman started his first concert here at 1:00 am on a thursday night (His instruments flew to Paraguay  because IATTA codes Pa and Pe are similar) andt he hall was really full, nobody left his/her seat even when the concert ended past 4:00 am.

In the ELP and Jethro Tull gigs back in the 90's I was also offered three times the price of my ticket at the door, but if you're not famous enough, bad luck surely will be cancelled.

Anyway, I'll buy them again, at the end it's very cheap, so if they don't pay me back, not much will be lost.

Iván

Got my 10 $ ticket - it doesn't look as if they're going to cancel it.

In fact, it was awesome -- Sheehan autographed my "Organik" copy.
