The prog is a men kind of music, I mean gentlemen music, through the years were a few good moments related to the intervention of women. The only prog moment of a women leading a band is the case of Renaissance, the rest the women we`re occasionally invited to background vocals, Pink Floyd or Oldfield cases. Why is it that there`s no place to women in the prog world??? ------------- THERE`S TO MUCH MUSIC AND SO LITTLE TIME TO LISTEN TO IT VIVA LA ARGENTINA PROGRESIVA!!!!! |

Mostly Automn are fronted by a women but as for why the women have only a limited interest in prog, check out other threads, this has been discused heavaly and no three people can agree completely on what the cause is. ------------- Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Heather Findlay is a fantastic singer and also a good song-writer, so don't forget about Mostly Autumn! To take Japan alone, high profile female-fronted or all-female bands include ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE, AFTER DINNER, ARS NOVA, BONDAGE FRUIT, FROMAGE, IE RAI SHAN, KOENJIHYAEKKI, MAGDALENA, MISTER SIRIUS, OZ, PAGEANT, PALE ACUTE MOON, PAZZO FANFANA DI MUSICA, PROVIDENCE, ROSALIA, SADISTIC MICA BAND, TERU'S SYMPHONIA, VERMILION SANDS and numerous others I've forgotten to mention. |
