Who produced the most classic progressive fusion albums in the early 70's? Herbie Hancock produced three very good albums, Headhunter, Sextant and Thrust. the Canterbury scene produced three also Soft Machine's 3, Caravan's In the Land of Pink and Grey, and Gong's You. I would call it a TIE! |

Have you got the latest remaster with a bonus track, with Hammer, Bolin and Cobham in free flow: it is worth considering replacing the older release. |

 For me Harbie Hancock with Chick Corea album, two monuments of Jazz-Fusion panorama.Weather Report were great above all in Sweetnighter(Pre-Pastorius era),Black Market and Heavy Weather(Pastorius era).Return to Forever in Romantic Warrior and also Himn to 7th galaxy.The best for me at all is Pat Metheney innovative and a huge musician check it out(Secret Story and Still Life-Talking)!------------- Do you know who am i and what am i? |

Herbie had 3 pretty good albums, that I find don't match the quality of
the other excellent albums mentioned above. If you put them up against the whole Canterbury schene...no chance. There's other great albums there not mentioned, like Egg's The Polite Force, Matching Mole's Little Red Album, Gilgamesh...if we include Hatfield & the North, then it's a slaughter. |
