Looks interesting.

Who voted for all that?

I'll never understand how Nick Mason ended up at number 6 in that drummers chart, below Chester Thompson, Simon Phillips etc. On what grounds??

Nice to see Yes trouncing all comers.

I also noticed Mr Fish Dick at number 7 in the vocalist chart.

Well it's just other prople's opinions. Top 10/25/50/100 and all other lists are pointless and silly I think. You like what you like.

But still...Nick Mason over Mike Portnoy??? I think not!!!

I agree with STG (stonebeard the Great) about polls.

But its fascinating to see the sublime Steve Hillage is only slightly ahead of the adequate (ish) guitar of Daevid Allen.

Stonie, change your last name to Divine, then we can call you STD

So, the dream prog band is Yes with Ian playing flute?

That would be interesting

WHAT is Ray Wilson doing? And who is Steve Walms

I knew this was messed up when Gabriel was only # 2.

I believe one or twi years ago I recieved a mail asking me to vote for my favorite Prog musicians and the name Arrakis (The owner of this page) was in the adress.

I usually delete this kind of mails but I voted because it was Prog related (of course I used a hotmail adress to avoid spam).

The voters are mostly from Latin America where Yes is the most popular Prog band by far, but great to see they are still doing this.

I glad to ALan White listed among the top Drummers. He does not get enough credit for his work. It is hard follow someone like Bill Bruford.

For some reason I agree with that list in the drummers section. Never liked portnoy, not that he's not good or something. He's extreamly creative and genious in his playing not to mention his techinique but he never made me belive he is feeling the song. His drums never made me feel anything....

28 Mercury, Freddie (Queen)

That's sick! I think he's the best vocalist ever but that's arguable. I think he could atleast be in the top 5?! 10?!

Damn ok his technique is very limited, but he has a lot of feeling , just look Live at pompeii or hear Atom Heart...

He has a unique style of playing...

Good to c that Jaki and Holger from 'Can' have hit the list in the drums and bass sections respectively... I love the rhythm from them, and it is good to c that it is appreciated elsewhere too.
