Mahavishnu Orchestra - Inner Mounting Flame, and my favourite, Birds of Fire.
Weather Report also great stuff!!
From the number of comments about them on this site, I really must listen to more of Return To Forever.

Mahavishnu, Brand X, Weather Report, Bruford.
I also like the first solo album of Jaco Pastorius.
And you should check out Karizma - Document, with Vinnie Collaiuta. I read somewhere that it is "basically a dictionary of outrageous drumming". And I agree.

Someone sent me the "Hiromi Uehara - Kung Fu World Champion".
Must be Japanese. It's also fusion / jazzrock type of music, with a
good bassplayer.
And I have got some Uzeb music, but only like part of their stuff.
Recently I bought a very cheap Yellowjackets album. Listening for five minutes I understood why it was so cheap.
