Don't know if anyone knew about this, but radiohead makes a cameo apperance in the new 4th harrry potter movie, as the band "weird sisters" i think it is. but ya anyway, Jonny Greenwood and Phil Selway are members of this band who play at the yule ball in the latest potter instalment

Yep - and Jarvis Cocker is the singer!

I saw it on Friday - it's a pretty good film!

"Radiohead noisenik Johnny Greenwood and drummer Phil Selway joined forces with Jarvis Cocker to form a supergroup. Dubbed the Weird Sisters, the band perform during a school dance in the upcoming Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

Apparently they are being sued by a Canadian folk group called the Wyrd Sisters.

The Wyrd Sisters of course being from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and probably and influence on that Canadian folk band.

I've yet to see a single Harry Potter film (or read the books), I'm proud of myself, the same applies for Lord of the Rings.

Harry Potter and prog don't mix.

The Hogwarts String Vest Quintet:

Phil Collins: drums, crap vocals, string vest
Frank Zappa: guitars, vocals, weird costumes
Keith Emerson: keyboards, pyrotechnics
Les Claypool: bass, vocals, weird costumes
David Jackson: saxophones, flute, leather hat and overall trendyness

 Great line-up dude

I thought it was Franz Ferdinand who'd be the Weird Sisters! meh...I mustve got the rumour wrong.

When I was reading HP for the first time, I always imagined U2 music to the ball scene. This was back when i was just getting into U2 so that'd be why.

Ian Brown had a minor non-speaking role in one of the Harry Potter films. I think it was the last one.
