What are the longest live prog and the longest studio prog
single tracks that you have?

The longest I have is a 1998 live Fripp track "Soundscapes", at
47:56

The longest studio track I have is "Sanity" from disc 2 of the
1989 album "Junta", from Phish, at 25:29.

Well, hit me up with your longass songs!

I believe this question has been posted many a time, but I think the longest I had was 'A Treatise On Cosmic Fire' by Todd Rundgren from his studio album 'Initiation'- that track was 37 minutes of utter dross!!

I always thought Genesis-For Absent Friends was just a little excessively long.  They could have shortened that by 10 or 15 seconds easily.

The idea was for it to be a single track in 8 parts but on the CD its counted as 8 songs. Most people count 6 degrees as track 6 of the album, it just tackes up the hole of disc 2.

Hmm, the longest I have is a live version of "Mountain Jam" by Allman Brothers Band, clocking in a 45 minutes.  Next longest is a 30 minute version of "Mountain Jam" by... ^

I also have a 29:31 minute live version of "Afro Blue" by Gov't Mule, featuring Jimmy Herring and Derek Trucks.

Longest studio track I currently have is probably "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers" by VdGG.

I once had the sort after bootleg of "Dark Star" by Grateful Dead, featuring Duane Allman and Peter Green and that lasts over 60 minutes.

The shortest album I have is John Mayall's Bluesbreakers - A Hard Road, which is 37 minutes.

Just remembered I have a live concert by moe. and there is a 51:39 version of Brent Black (but it includes a lot chatting by the band and stuff).

Although most of the tracks on that disc seems more like standalone tracks that is just put together by using the same concept lyrics wise...That way Neal Morse's ? album could also be counted as one track really

Maybe, but the difference is that 6 degrees was ment to be one hole track exploring the 6 degrees of inner turbulance
