Im hoping to get a new 6 string bass guitar soon but im worried that my short fingers arnt going to be able to stretsh far enough on the fretboard.

Could this actually be a problem for me or does it not matter how long your fingers are?

Thanks

if you have enough talent, it shouldnt be an obstacle.

however, I often see people fall into the trap in which they think if they just buy the right gear, they will magically get talent.  this is not the case.

i have really small hands and a 6 string Dingwall afterburner bass, its not a problem and it has wide string spacing, if your worried try a Modulus Q6 of a Yamaha John Myung Signature, those have very narrow spacings

hope that was helpful :)

Thanks guys for the reasurance, and dont worry i already know that good equipment does not a good musician make. I'm only getting a 6-string so i can cover Dream Theater (or atleast attempt to cover them)
