Not really, no.

The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe.

Richard Pinhas always acknowledged his debt to Fripp, in particular the No Pussyfooting album (with Brian Eno), and Fripp's influence was all over Heldon's early albums. As good as Pinhas is, I think Fripp is top banana in this particular face off.

Sygyzy, I totally value your opionion and think it is
valid. My response is....

I think Pinhas gave a little too much credit to Robert
and voiced it later. Robert being a few years earlier is
a just creditor, but thats were it ends. Pinhas also
gave much credit to Dieter Moebius, justly. Now after
that Richards career held into the light vs. Roberts in
retrospect is a match, IMO!
Roberts leader role is no crown jewel and he was
actually a better fit as a support to a band, Roberts
no great leader and Richard shows equal or better
leadership though neither did too well at the helm!

Sorry DB, but I think Chris is right on this one> I love both guitarists but without Fripp , I am not sure Pinhas would've existed>

This being said Pinhas took things further than Fripp did in the later 70's but Fripp was out of the playing circus and into the production thing at the time.

OverallI say that Pinhas comes to ear level to Fripp.

To tidy things up a bit, any band A vs band B etc. threads will now appear in the prog polls section. While they don't actaully have a poll attached to them, that is effectielly what they are.

I'm not going to go back through and move all the old ones, but any which rise to the top now will be re-postioned there.
