My old band Staring Into Space got rejected by EMI (among others).

EMI reject SIS

Anyone else been similarly dismissed, thus depriving the music world of another great talent?

You have no idea chopper ... the pain and suffering I've been through at the hands of the record company execs ...

Two of whom gave me/the band verbal assurances of a deal, before reneging ... one even booked us 10 days of studio time and then pulled the plug ...

From that second fiasco, we managed to salvage this mini-album (Malaysia's only prog one, so far) ... and put it out on an indie label ... that promptly folded within six months

If you do listen to it (will run out on November 17 I think ...) go to tracks 5 and 6 first, them's the proggiest ones

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
