Hey, I'm a 20 years old stundent from Norway who is very interested in prog music. Or my music taste is ruined as all my friends say... Can't understand why I was brought up on prog by my father, who had played it so much when I was younger that I easily could related to it when I started to get an interest in music at the age of 15. I realise that I am born 25 years to late and therfor will never be able to see some of my favourites live (what I wouldn't give to watch the Lamb Lies show) so therfor I try to get as much out of the artists last years preforming and go to every prog consert that I find interesting My two absolute favourites is Yes and Genesis. But I also love ELP, King Crimson, Anglagard (Hybris must be the best album since Lamb Lies) and so on. But being only 20 years I still have much to discover. I find Neo prog much simpler than symphonic, but I still enjoy specially Arena and Pendragon much because of Clive Nolan I guess. Well anyways this is a little about me, and I think I will enjoy my stay at this site. It really seems like a great one. I can understand that feeling, Henrik. Trying to find those that have similiar tastes in music can be a chore in itself. Its like another closet to get out of. A lot of ppl deny they like yes (even with jon anderson singing), and say they only like genesis with only phil collins singing. However, in this haven, I hope you may find a lot more cool music to stimulate you (if u can stream music) and also meet like minded ppl. Good luck in your life long search for ear candy (im new here too - am glad to meet you). Will close off with a Frank Zappa quote (from the Joes Garage album) "You must go into the closet, and you will have a lot of fun" Enjoy. ------------- I really like this jacket, but the sleeves are much too long. |
