Yeah... it is sort of a stupid poll but I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a few songs of theirs sharing the same name.  Post any other names here if you want...

Thousands of bands (often proggressive ones) use the word Overture, this one was easy.

Overture definitely, but I do see Lament a lot.

Quite possibly the most jejune thread; however, an overture being:

  1. Music.
  2. An instrumental composition intended especially as an introduction to an extended work, such as an opera or oratorio.
  3. A similar orchestral work intended for independent concert performance.

But more to the common thread, perhaps an OTHER tab...if I see or hear the latin phrase Carpe Diem mentioned ever again someone's gonna get it.

Yeah.  I understand all of that but on my play list anyway Epitaph still wins.  4 Epitaphs to Overture's 3... not including Leftoverture by Kansas.

Home and Time are two song names that seem to get used a lot (not just by prog bands).

It's got to be overture... Madrigal pops up a fair bit, too though.

Fool's Overture by Supertramp...

I know Kansas and Pendragon used Overture in an album title.

But song titles, which?

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.
